President V. Elaine Gross was a panelist at the Landmark Theatre’s Songs of Protest: Reframing Conversations around Race in America event. The event consisted of musical renditions by Brinae Ali and Olivia K. , spanning several generations and social issues.
Panelists also included Shanequa Levin, current Director for Every Child Matters in New York and Napoleon Revels-Bey, Director and founder of Nassau Performing Arts Center. The music was accompanied with passionate dialogue about the historical relationship between music, race, and social movements.
