Following the legacy of the organization’s commitment to addressing institutional and structural racism on Long Island, New York and nationally this program focuses on giving high school students the tools to organize and advocate for racial equity in their schools and communities. Latest News: The 2024 Student Leaders for Equity
ERASE Racism awarded paid summer internships to eight Long Island high school students. The Student Leaders for Equity Internship (SLEI) ran for six weeks, from July 8 to August 16 offering interns an opportunity to learn more about structural racial inequity, especially in housing and public education, on Long Island and statewide and giving them the tools to organize and advocate for racial equity in their communities.
